Background: Used in herbal medicine as a topical wound healer and soothing agent throughout western Asia, Portulaca Oleracea contains the beneficial vitamins A, B, and C, as well as calcium and potassium. Also regarded as an anti-inflammatory the succulent, or water retaining, plant is an ideal ingredient for cosmetic and personal care applications.
